3. Eligibility Criteria (Age & Education)

A. Essential Academic Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must fall into one of the two strictly defined educational and experience pathways to be considered eligible:

• Pathway 1: The candidate must possess an MBBS degree combined with an M.D. (General Medicine). Furthermore, the candidate must have at least 1 year of Post-PG experience.
• Pathway 2: Alternatively, the candidate may possess an MBBS degree followed by a Post-MBBS qualification (such as a Diploma, Certificate, or Fellowship in Cardiology, Diabetology, or Neurology). Under this pathway, the candidate is required to have a substantially longer minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience.
• Mandatory Registration: Irrespective of the pathway, it is absolutely mandatory that the applicant is officially registered with the Uttar Pradesh Medical Council (UPMCI), the National Medical Commission (NMC), or the Medical Council of India (MCI).

B. Upper Age Limit Constraints

The upper age limit for aspiring candidates is set at 65 years as on the cut-off date of 09 May 2026. This allows retired or semi-retired senior medical professionals an excellent opportunity to continue contributing their expertise to a reputed government organization.

4. Remuneration, Working Hours & Contract Terms

The Visiting Consultant role is designed to be flexible, operating on a part-time basis, yet it offers a highly competitive remuneration structure per visit.

Important Contractual Terms

• Tenure: The initial engagement for the selected Physicians will be strictly for a period of two (02) years.
• Reporting Structure: The Visiting Consultant will report directly to a designated regular Doctor stationed at the Hospital of the Division.
• Employee Status: The engagement is purely temporary. It does not confer any legal right upon the Consultant to claim the status or benefits of a regular, full-time employee of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
• Taxation: The remuneration is subject to applicable deductions such as Income Tax, GST, and Professional Tax, in accordance with prevailing government rules.
• Termination Clause: The engagement will automatically terminate upon the completion of the two-year tenure. However, it can be terminated earlier by either side by providing a one-month written notice, or by paying an amount equivalent to the remuneration of 5 visits in lieu of the notice period.

Due to the senior nature of this role, HAL will bypass written examinations in favor of a direct interview process.
