3. Eligibility Criteria (Age Limit & Education)
Candidates must satisfy the precise eligibility criteria as of the cut-off date: April 01, 2026.
A. Age Limit
- A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on April 01, 2026.
- The candidate must have been born not earlier than April 02, 1996, and not later than April 01, 2005.
- Relaxations: M.Phil. and Ph.D. candidates have an upper age limit of 32 and 34 years respectively. Standard category relaxations apply: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10-15 years).
B. Minimum Educational Qualifications
- General Cadre: Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR Post-Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
- DEPR Cadre: MA/MSc in Economics OR MA/MSc in Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate.
- DSIM Cadre: Master's Degree with a minimum of 55% marks in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Data Science/AI/ML OR a Four-year Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 60% marks in similar disciplines.
4. Salary & Pay Scale
Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹78,450/- p.m. in the scale of ₹78450-4050(9)-114900-EB-4050(2)-123000-4650(4)-141600 (16 years).
At present, the initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) are approximately ₹1,54,936/-. Candidates will also be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance (15% of Pay), and various other perquisites.
